Starting Your Migration

AdventNet SwisSQL Sybase To SQL Server Edition helps you migrate from Sybase ASE to SQL Server using Online and Offline migration methods. Based on your requirements, you can choose any of the following methods (or both) for your migration.

• Online Migration : The Online method helps you connect to Sybase ASE database in your network and fetch the Sybase specific database objects that needs to be migrated. SwisSQL Sybase to SQL Server Edition offers a wizard that helps you to easily connect to Sybase ASE and fetch the required database objects.
• Offline Migration : Users can migrate Sybase schema objects that are present as script files in the local file system using Offline Migration.
