You can start SwisSQL
Sybase To SQL Server Edition in anyone of the following ways
- Click on the SwisSQL Sybase To SQL Server
link icon ( You must have checked the option of having a quick link
in the desktop in the final screen of installation - InstallShield
Wizard Complete)
- You can invoke the product from the windows
menu Start -> Programs -> SwisSQL -> SwisSQL Sybase
to SQL Server -> Sybase to SQL Server
- Double click on the runSybaseToSQLServer.bat
file under < SwisSQL /SybaseToSQLServer/bin/>
to start Sybase to SQL Server Edition.
Getting Familiar with the GUI
SwisSQL Sybase to SQL Server sports a simple and effective
UI. The product snapshot given below briefs the various features and options
available.

- Wizard
: The Migration wizard helps you to connect
and fetch Sybase ASE database objects that are to be migrated
- Sybase T-SQL database objects : The T-SQL
Files tree shows all the Sybase ASE database objects that are fetched
or loaded into the product
- Migrate All/ Selected Files : You can migrate
selected files or migrate all Sybase objects to SQL Server using Migrate
/ Migrate Selected Files
- SQL Server T-SQL database objects : The Migrated
MSSQL Files tree shows all the migrated SQL Server database objects.
- Compile: The tool helps you compile the migrated SQL Server
T-SQL database objects in SQL Server.
Users can understand the tool operations more closely by viewing the
Output and Errors logs. Output logs store information about
the databases connected, numbers of objects fetched, and so on. This gives
users a complete view on the sequence of operations performed by the tool.
Error logs store exceptions and errors during the migration process. Output
logs and Error logs are stored under <SwisSQL Product home/ logs>,
users can view these files to resolve issues during migration.
