SwisSQL DBChangeManager provides various licensing options to suit your needs.
DBChangeManager Evaluation Edition
SwisSQL DBChangeManager by default provides a fully-functional evaluation version of the product. The following are the only restrictions:
- Multi-user access will not be supported in the Evaluation Edition. Only Single User access will be supported
- Evaluation edition will expire after 20 days from the date of installation
Evaluation Edition will be a fully functional product except for the above restrictions. On expiry of the evaluation edition, the product will automatically switch to the Free Edition mode whose capabilities are described in the next section.
DBChangeManager Free Edition
SwisSQL DBChangeManager provides a free, single user license with no expiry to users. The following are the restrictions in the Free Edition:
- Multi-user access will not be supported in Free Edition. Only Single User access will be supported
- You can synchronize only a maximum of 10 SQL Server database objects at a time
- Synchronization Audit functionality will not be supported
- Command Line Utility will not be functional
DBChangeManager Free Edition can be used for any duration.
DBChangeManager Registered License
Registered Licenses are offered based on number of user accounts to be supported in DBChangeManager. The following are the options provided for Registered Licenses:
- 1 User Pack - Single Installation, Fully functional product that will allow only 1 user account. No support for Multi-user access
- 2 User Pack - Single Installation, Fully functional product that supports a maximum of 2 user accounts
- 5 User Pack - Single Installation, Fully functional product that supports a maximum of 5 user accounts
- 10 User Pack - Single Installation, Fully functional product that supports a maximum of 10 user accounts
- Site License - Single Installation, Fully functional product that supports unlimited user accounts

Applying the License Key
On purchase of a registered license key, you will be sent a valid license file by AdventNet. You can apply the license by following the below given steps:
- Login into SwisSQL DBChangeManager
- Click on the License link on the top right corner of your screen, to bring up the license dialog
- Upload the license file into the 'Upgrade License File' field using the Browse button
- Click on the Apply button
The license dialog also provides the details about your current license.
Upgrading the License
You can upgrade your current license by purchasing the appropriate license from AdventNet. On purchase you will be sent a license file, which you need to apply in the same manner as described above under 'Applying the License Key' to upgrade your license. |
