SwisSQL DBChangeManager is a simple and easy to use tool that enables you to compare and synchronize schema objects of two Microsoft SQL Server databases. DBChangeManager will compare and synchronize all database objects including, but not limited to, tables, stored procedures, views, user-defined functions, XML schema collections, and CLR Assemblies.
Typically in a development environment dba's/developers do changes to the local SQL Server database. Once done and tested these changes are to be moved (or synchronized) to the live production database (local or remote) without affecting the live system interms of data/schema corruption, loss of data and other detrimental changes.
Synchronizing the live database involves, comparing and identifying the differences between the live database and development database, generating migration/synchronization scripts, executing the migration and testing the live system. Handling these tasks manually is time consuming, tedious and error-prone. DBChangeManager automates this entire process of comparision, script generation, synchronization and verification without any corruption or loss of schema objects and data, saving huge amount of manual work. .
DBChangeManager provides a simple Web Interface (first-of-its-kind) accessible anywhere through your browser to effectively handle the SQL Server change management tasks. DBChangeManager also supports multi-user access through user logins from within the same installation.
DBChangeManager currently supports comparision and synchronization of SQL Server 2000, and SQL Server 2005 databases.
