Using the Web Client Interface

After you successfully login into the DBChangeManager, you will be led to the Home Page of the UI as shown below. From here you can follow the various links to start your change management operations.

Client Interface page layout - A brief

DBChangeManager client interface page layout consists of the follow components:

• Navigation Tabs
• Work Area
• Top band Quick Links

Navigation Tabs

DBChangeManager Client Interface provides tabs at the top for easy navigation, categorized based on logically grouped operations. The following is a brief about each tab:

• Home Tab: Brings up the home page of the Client interface. Provides a dashboard view of the latest operations done including latest comparisons and done using the tool along with Quick links for New Comparison and Export Database functionality.
• Schema Comparison Tab: This tab will be enabled only on doing a Schema comparison. The tab will display the comparison result and helps you to quickly access the result of the latest comparison done anytime.
• Audit Tab: Provides audit history of the synchronizations executed from within DBChangeManager

From within any of the tabs you can perform basic operations like creating new comparison, managing existing comparisons or exporting a database using the links at the top, just below the tabs.

Operations Area

The area below the navigation tab is the main work area providing all the necessary details and operational links based on the context of the currently selected tab. A synopsis of the information that would be provided in the work area under each of the corresponding tab is already described in the previous section.

Top band Quick Links

On the top right corner of the client interface, links are provided for accessing the various infrequent operations offered by DBChangeManager. The following is a synopsis:

• Change Password: Use it to change the password of the current user logged in.
• Support: Provides technical support related information offered by SwisSQL DBChangeManager support team
• Feedback: Post your feedbacks or issues quickly to SwisSQL DBChangeManager technical team
• License: Use this option to register the license key when you procure a license
• About Us: A summary about the product and SwisSQL DBChangeManager team
• Logout: Helps you to logout from the DBChangeManager client.
• User Administration: This link appears only in the Registered version of the product. This will help you to manage multi-user access to the DBChangeManager tool. This link will appear only for user logins who have the privilege to handle user administration tasks.
