AdventNet Acquires Vembu Technologies'
Product Line Pleasanton, California, December 23, 2003
ZOHO Corp., the leading provider of standards-based management
software for applications and networks, today announced its
entry into the database migration tools business with the
acquisition of the SwisSQL and database migration product
line from Vembu Technologies. Vembu Technologies, started
by Mr. Sekar Vembu, has established itself as a multi-database
tools provider. Vembu Technologies has signed up over a dozen
customers, within 6 months of the products introduction, with
a very positive momentum going into 2004. Recent customer
wins include EMC, HP and Ramco Systems, who have reported
significant productivity gains from the product line.
Announcing this today, Dr. Tony Thomas, Chairman of AdventNet,
said, "AdventNet has been expanding its focus towards
the enterprise IT market for the past year. This acquisition
accelerates this further. Our commitment to the customers
of Vembu Technologies is that AdventNet will accelerate the
R&D investment in this product portfolio and round out
the products with additional tools. In addition, we will integrate
these technologies with our existing AdventNet products, especially
as part of our applications management products. The AdventNet
field organization will start providing support for Vembu
products shortly, making life easier for existing and new
customers. "
Mr. Sekar Vembu, President of Vembu Technologies, said, "As

we created at Vembu Technologies finding a good home. I am
very confident that the product portfolio will succeed even
better, with the extensive R&D and field resources of
AdventNet."
As part of the acquisition, the products will be sold under
the SwisSQL name and will be available at http://www.swissql.com.
The Vembu name will be phased out over time. The Web site
will be integrated within a few weeks.
